After four years of work, Paul Galbraith brought to completion one of his most ambitious projects: the recording of his transcriptions for Brahms Guitar of works by Debussy and Ravel, together with music by the French Baroque composer, Louis Couperin.
“It’s so easy to play transcriptions in a way that merely excites nostalgia for the original version. The great thing is for the transcription to be convincing to the point, that you feel it was originally conceived for your instrument“, the guitarist observes.
Whilst preparing for this new recording, Galbraith continued his successful concert career, appearing in the principal cities of the USA, as well as in various European centers.
